EduFL is a school management system made by Modrage Tech. This page explains what information EduFL handles, who it belongs to, and what we do with it. A school that uses EduFL is the owner of its data. We handle that data only to run EduFL for that school.
What information EduFL holds
Schools and their staff put information into EduFL. Depending on the modules a school uses, this can include:
- Student and staff records: names, roll numbers, class, contact numbers, and photos or documents the school uploads.
- Attendance, test marks, results and progress records.
- Fee records, payments, expenses and payroll.
- Messages, notices and meeting details.
- Sign-in details: a username, roll number or mobile number, and a password.
- A record of who changed what (the activity log).
On this company website, we do not set advertising or analytics cookies. If you use the contact form, your message is sent through WhatsApp, and we do not store it on this site.
How we use it
- To provide EduFL to the school: showing the right records to the right people, and keeping the service running.
- To keep backups so a school can recover its data.
- To give support when a school asks for it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not show advertising inside EduFL or in the apps we build for schools.
Who can see a school's data
Inside a school, access depends on role. Teachers, accountants, administrators, parents and students each see only what their role allows. Staff at Modrage Tech can reach the system to maintain it and to give support, and only do so for that purpose.
Services we use
EduFL runs on hosted servers and may use storage and database providers. Some optional features, such as the AI lesson builder and text-to-speech narration, send the text a teacher enters to third-party AI and speech providers so that they can return a result. Teachers should not enter students' personal details into those features.
How long we keep data
We keep a school's data while it uses EduFL. When a school ends its agreement, it can ask us to export its data and then delete it. Backups are removed on a rolling schedule after deletion.
Your choices
A parent, student or staff member who wants to see, correct or delete their information should ask their school first, because the school controls the record. A school can also ask us to delete an account or all of its data. To do that, contact us using the details below.
Children's information
EduFL holds information about students, including children, because schools need it. It is entered and managed by the school. Children do not sign up for EduFL themselves.
Security
We protect passwords and sign-in sessions, limit what each role can see, keep regular backups, and tie every record to one school so that schools cannot see each other's data. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a problem that affects a school's data, we will tell that school.
